To increase engagement at our footprint outside the Chase Center, Mercedes-Benz drew key connections between the Golden State Warriors’ winning energy – what brings people to the arena – and Mercedes-EQ through an engaging gamified experience that immersed and educated fans about our electrified vehicle lineup. We put Warriors faithful to the test to figure out who’s a die-hard and who jumped on the bandwagon in a GSW and Mercedes-EQ-themed trivia challenge, with covetable signed memorabilia and personalized videos featuring Brand Ambassador Klay Thompson awarded to the winners.

The Trivia challenge driven by Mercedes-Benz allowed fans to test their knowledge of Golden State and the Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup. We styled our footprint after an outdoor basketball court, complete with a half-court floor design, chain metal fencingbackdrops, and decorative basketballs printed with EQ facts and feature details.

Participants entered personal contact information and received a QR code. They selected either the Blue or Gold team and could play versus another Fan or Solo. They had 20 seconds to respond to each question, which tested their knowledge of Golden State Warriors history and key details about the Mercedes-Benz EQ lineup and capabilities. Each question was worth 50 points and guessing the right answer before the other team earned a time bonus. Like the NBA playoffs, it was best of 7 series: the first team to win 4 questions won the matchup and earned the chance to receive exclusive Warriors memorabilia.
